10" Drop - DT Self Tensioning Aircraft Grade Aluminum Adjustable Ball MountThis DT Aluminum Adjustable Ball Mount is constructed of 6061 T6 temper aircraft grade polished aluminum and stainless steel. It has a very heavy duty trailer load rating of 10,000 pounds and a tongue load rating of 1,500 pounds. This unique ball mount hitch utilizes a integrated self tensioning system that uses an included 5/16" hex tool to tension this ball mount securely into your trucks receiver tube (NO MORE CLUNKING BACK & FORTH). The same 5/16" hex tool is also used to adjust the ball holder up & down or to switch it from one ball size to the other.

Features:

Only one hitch pin or locking hitch pin is required to lock this ball mount in place and the ball holder can not be removed without the provided 5/16" hex tool. DTC does not manufacture or sale a drop slide bar as a stand alone item, so the theft of the ball holder component alone would be pointless. Please note that only the 6", 8", & 10" DT-STBM series ball mounts can allow the ball holder to be stowed behind the slide drop bar.

Dual self tensioning ball mount eliminates all clunk and rattle associated with standard non-tensioning ball mounts. The provided 5/16" hex tool is used to tension the ball mount within your trucks receiver tube and to tension the ball & ball holder in a solid locked position. You will probably forget you are even pulling a trailer when towing with a DT Solid-Tow Ball Mount.

No welds are used on DT aluminum ball mounts to attach the shank to the drop bar. This prevents fatiguing and breaking associated with other products that use welded two piece construction bodies made from steel or aluminum

Reversible 2" and 2-5/16" chrome plated steel double ball provides the highest possible strength, and its solid one piece double ball design is much stronger than aluminum or zinc plated balls and they also have much better wear characteristics. The double ball on this ball mount is held in the ball holder by a large stainless steel pin and security lock bolt.

This ball mount provides 11" of rise or 10" of drop from the top of the receiver tube opening to the ball holders base and can be adjusted up or down in 1" increments. This hitch measures 4.25" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back side of the slide bar plate or flange and 8.5" to the center of the towing ballThis ball mount was designed for the most common 2" x 2" receiver tubes, but it can be converted for use with all 2.5" class V receiver tube with the use of a standard 2" to 2.5" adapter tube and a long span hitch pin.
